The European Union has again launched an anti-dumping investigation into Chinese steel fasteners
On December 21, 2020, the European Union issued an official announcement that it decided to launch another anti-dumping investigation on steel fasteners originating from China. The application for this survey was launched on 6 November 2020 by the European Industrial Fasteners Institute.
Products in question: Fasteners of steel (other than stainless steel), such as wood screws (other than square head screws), self-tapping screws, other head screws and bolts (with or without nuts or washers, except screws and bolts used to secure railway track construction materials), and washers.
Customs codes involved: CN codes 7318 12 90, 7318 14 91, 7318 14 99, 731815 58, 7318 15 68, 7318 15 82, 7318 15 88, ex 7318 15 95 (TARIC codes 7318 1595 19 and 7318 15 95 89), ex 7318 21 00 (TARIC codes 7318 21 00 31, 7318 21 0039, 7318 21 00 95 and 7318 21 00 98) and EX7318 22 00 00 (Taric Codes 7318 22 00 31, 7318 22 00 39, 7318 2200 95 and 7318 2200 98).
The dumping and injury investigation period is July 1, 2019 solstice and June 30, 2020, and the damage assessment period is January 1, 2017 at the end of the solstice investigation period, the announcement said. The announcement requires the export enterprises concerned to provide sampling information in accordance with the requirements of the announcement within 7 days from the announcement of filing the case.
